When Lost Mode is activated, the Galaxy SmartTag2's NFC (Near Field Communication) displays the registered contact information and message on the smartphone that found it, regardless of the operating system. Activate Search Nearly and get intuitive instructions via Compass View. If you still can't see it, have your SmartTag2 contact you via Ring Your Tag. It's easy to attach and carry, and it's durable. It gives you remote access to your IoT devices and stays powered for up to 500 days, or 40% longer when in Power Saving Mode. IoT devices must be registered within the SmartThings app for features to function properly. When the device is in Power Saving Mode, some features, such as Search Nearby, controlling IoT devices, and more, may be inaccessible, with the exception of basic Bluetooth finder functionality. For the Galaxy SmartTag2, you must sign in with your Samsung account and register the device on the SmartThings Find app. Compass View requires Galaxy smartphones with Ultra Wideband (UWB) support and running Android 11 or later. Compass View availability may vary depending on the operating system version, connected device, or country. Contact information and messages must be pre-registered on the SmartThings app to be displayed on the device of the person searching for the item in Lost Mode. The device of the person who found the lost device must support Near Field Communication (NFC) reading and be connected to the internet to display the pre-registered contact information when applying the sticker.
